Lake Clarke Rescue earns NEW VRSR Certification--July 1, 2013

 

Lake Clarke Rescue-Station 60 is now a Type 4A Swiftwater Rescue Team. 

 

Lake Clarke Rescue received its Voluntary Rescue Service Recognition "VRSR" Accrediation and currently operates a 4 person Swiftwater Rescue Team under the states new guidelines.

 

This new elite Team will now be added to the rosters of local EMA's as well as PEMA and FEMA so that they can use their skills and equipment to respond when the need arrises.

 

Congrats to the members of this new elite Team.

Special Olympics Polar Plunge--February 9, 2013

Lake Clarke Rescue-Station 60 along with Goodwill Fire Co./Jacobus-Station 18 stoodby for the Annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge in Wrightsville, PA.

Both stations had Boats, Apparatus, and Equipment on Standby in the event something would have happened at the Plunge.  Members from both stations were in the water and on the shore ensuring the safety of all who participated and who came out for the event.

A special Thank You to Station 18 for assisting us with this event as well as the EMS Crews from Memorial Hospital and White Rose EMS who provided EMS and Medical
Coverage for the event.

Lake Clarke Rescue obtains PennFIRS Account...

Lake Clarke Rescue has obtained a PennFIRS Account through the Office of the State Fire Commissioner and FireHouse Web Software.

Lake Clarke Rescue will be using this new Account and Software for all of its Incident Reporting to remain compliant and keep up to date records and reporting.

Thank you to FireHouse Software and the State Fire Commissioners' Office for this service.

Cumberland County Firemens Convention--September 15, 2012

Rescue 60 along with Boat 603 and Boat 604 participated in the Cumberland County Firemans Convention hosted by New Kingstown Fire Company in Mechanicsburg, PA.

 

Lake Clarke Rescue won 1st Place in the Water Rescue Unit Category

Lake Clarke Rescue received $100.00 cash for taking 1st Place.

 

 

Thank you to New Kingstown Fire Company for the opportunity to participate in this convention.

York County Firemans Convention--August 18, 2012

Rescue 60 along with Boat 603 and Boat 604 participated in the York County Firemans Convention hosted by North York Boro Fire Company, in York, PA.

 

Lake Clarke Rescue won 2nd Place in the Specialty Unit Category.

Lake Clarke Rescue received a Trophy and a Participation Plaque for taking 2nd Place.

Adams County Firemans Convention--August 11th, 2012

Rescue 60 with Boat 603 and Boat 604 along with Assistant Chief 602 (Fischer) and Boat 601 participated in the Adams County Firemans Convention hosted by Heidlersburg Fire Company in Heidlersburg, PA.

 

Lake Clarke Rescue won 3rd Place in the Specialty Unit Category.

Lake Clarke Rescue received a Trophy for winning 3rd Place.

 

 

A special thank you goes out to Heidlersburg Fire Company and to the Adams County Volunteer Emergency Services Association for allowing Company 60 to participate in the convention.

Shankes Mare Open House--August 4, 2012

Rescue 60 participated in Shankes Mares' Open House and was able to provide the community with valuable water safety material and safety information.  Lake Clarke Rescue Crews were able to display some of our equipment and talk about what we do and how we respond when a water related emergency occurs.

 

 

Thank you Shankes Mare for allowing us the opportunity to reach out to the community during this event.

Coast Guard Auxillary Open House--June 30, 2012

Rescue 60 participated in the Coast Guard Auxillarys' Open House and was able to provide the community with valuable water safety material and safety information. Lake Clarke Rescue Crews were able to display some of our equipment and talk about what we do and how we respond when a water related emergency occurs.  This event also showed how closely the Coast Guard Auxillary and Lake Clarke Rescue can and do work together to provide safety and rescue response  to the community.

Thank you to the Coast Guard Auxillary for allowing us the opportunity to reach out to the community during this event.

Lancaster County Firemans Convention--June 2, 2012

Rescue 60 and Boat 602 participated in the Lancaster County Firemans Convention in Marietta, PA.  Lake Clarke Rescue Crews showed their talent and professionalism as they performed for the judges of this years convention.

 

Lake Clarke Rescue won 1st Place in the Boat Category.

Lake Clarke Rescue received the 1st Place Trophy for their equipment and their efforts.

 

 

 

 

Thank you to the Marietta Fire Company and the Convention Judges for the opportunity to participate in this event and in awarding Lake Clarke Rescue this Trophy.

Lake Clarke Rescue-Station 60 Open House--June 9, 2012

Lake Clarke Rescue conducted its first Open House ever and was able to show the community it serves the Thanks they deserve for supporting us in all that we do.

 

Lake Clarke Rescue opened its doors and had tours, demonstrations, displays, games, food, and raffels.  There were emergency services vendors and emergency services on hand to show their products and talk with the community about what we do and how we do it.

 

A special thanks goes out to all those who attended and to all of our Sponsors, Vendors, and fellow Responders who came out and showed their support.

Lake Clarke Rescue Promotional Flyers are here...

Lake Clarke Rescue has produced a "promotional flyer" about our organization, our mission, and some of the Water Rescue Services and Equipment that we provide to the surrounding Emergency Services Agencies and the Community that we serve.

This flyer will be sent to different agencies to better promote our services and our capibilities.  This will also be used at PR events and Public Displays.

Lake Clarke Rescue-1st Responder Newspaper Article 

Lake Clarke Rescues' Rescue 60 and Boats 603 and 604 were featured in the 1st Responder Newspaper for their participation in the York County Firemans Convention.  This popular Emergency Services Newspaper depicts Emergency Vehicles from around the country and featured our apparatus.

York County Firemans Convention--August 20, 2011

Rescue 60 along with Boat 603 and Boat 604 participated in the York County Firemans Convention hosted by Nashville and Thomasville Fire Companies in York County, PA.

 

Lake Clarke Rescue won 1st Place in the Specialty Unit Category.

Lake Clarke Rescue received a Trophy for taking 1st Place.
